Palm fronds, branches, stumps, and green debris hauled away. We remove the yard waste — you enjoy the clean property.
Hawaii's tropical climate does not give your yard a break. Trees, hedges, and ground cover grow year-round, and after any trimming session — or after a passing storm — you can be left with piles of green waste that dwarf what a standard trash can can handle.
The City and County of Honolulu does offer green waste collection, but it comes with real limitations: material must fit inside your green bin, branches cannot exceed three feet in length, and palm fronds that still have a trunk attached are typically rejected. If an arborist spent the morning dropping a large monkeypod or trimming a row of hedges, you may be looking at a pile that would take weeks to bin-and-bag your way through.
Opala Kuleana hauls yard waste across Oahu. We load everything — palm fronds, branches, stumps, trimmings, soil, and debris — and take it to a permitted facility. One call, one trip, yard cleared.
We remove all types of yard and green waste, including:
Mixed loads are common. If your yard cleanout also includes old tools, patio furniture, or general junk, we handle that in the same trip. See our full services page for everything we haul.
If you have one or two bags of grass clippings or a small pile of trimmings that fit inside your green bin, use your City curbside collection — that is exactly what it is there for and it costs you nothing.
If you need trees or hedges actually cut down, we are not the right call at that step. Hire a licensed arborist or tree service to do the cutting. Once the debris is on the ground, that is where we come in — we haul out everything they leave behind.
Where we make the most sense: the volume is too large for your green bin, the City rejected your pile for exceeding branch length limits, or you want the yard cleared on your schedule rather than waiting for the next collection date.
Wet, heavy palm fronds are awkward to move and impossible to compact. A single large queen palm can leave fifty to a hundred fronds on the ground, and each one can weigh several pounds when freshly cut. Coconut trunks and large monkeypod limbs are denser still. Filling a truck with palm fronds takes volume fast; filling it with soil or gravel takes weight fast. Both have their own disposal challenges.
The City's green waste program routes combustible material to H-POWER, Oahu's waste-to-energy facility on Sand Island. For larger loads, permitted transfer stations like PVT Land Company accept green waste and inert debris. Getting material to those facilities requires a truck and a valid load — which is the part most homeowners do not have covered.
We handle the transport and drop-off. All disposal is permitted. No illegal dumping.
Yard waste pricing depends on what you have:
We give you a firm price before any work starts. No surprise charges when the truck is full.
A Waipahu homeowner had a large monkeypod tree trimmed by an arborist who did the cutting but left all the debris in the yard — branches, smaller limbs, palm fronds, and loose green waste piled across the back of the property. The homeowner called us the same afternoon.
We showed up the following morning, loaded everything by hand, and filled two truck loads with branches, fronds, and green debris. The yard was cleared by early afternoon. All material was taken to a permitted facility. The homeowner did not have to bag a single branch.
We do similar work throughout the island — Mililani homes with overgrown hedges after years of minimal trimming, Kaneohe properties with storm debris after heavy rain, North Shore yards where coconut palms drop fronds constantly and no green bin ever seems large enough.
Two truck loads of palm fronds, monkeypod branches, and loose green debris cleared from a residential yard the day after an arborist finished trimming.
Branches, downed limbs, and coconut husks cleared from a Kaneohe property following heavy rain. Yard cleared in a single trip.
Full hedge trimming debris plus a half-yard of excess fill dirt removed from a Mililani townhome. Mixed load quoted and cleared same day.
Tell us what you have and where you are located. We will give you a price and confirm a time that works. Most yard waste jobs on Oahu can be scheduled within 24–48 hours.
