Our Story
ʻŌpala Kuleana was built on a simple belief: Oahu deserves a junk removal service that knows the island, respects the community, and takes disposal seriously.
The name says it all. ʻŌpala is Hawaiian for refuse or garbage. Kuleana means responsibility, right, and privilege — the kind of obligation you feel toward something you care about. Putting them together reflects how we approach this work: responsible removal for the place we call home.
Why We’re Different
Most large junk removal companies are national franchises that follow a one-size-fits-all model. We’re not that. We’re from here. We understand Hawaii’s unique waste management rules, the importance of responsible e-waste disposal, and what it means to be a neighbor doing work in someone’s home or business.
Our drivers hold Type 3 and CDL licenses, and we’re committed to handling every job with professionalism and care.
What We Believe
- Transparency first. You get a free, no-obligation on-site estimate before we start. The price you approve is the price you pay.
- Responsible disposal. We sort what we can for donation or recycling to keep usable goods out of Hawaii’s landfills.
- Respect for your space. We treat your home or property the way we’d want ours treated.
- Community over profit. As a local business, we invest back in the community we serve.
Our Service Area
We serve all of Oahu — from the west side neighborhoods of Ewa Beach, Kapolei, and Makakilo to Honolulu, Waikiki, and everything in between. If you’re on the island, we come to you.
